  1. Lifetime Coverage: The Install Warranty provides lifetime coverage for workmanship defects that arise due to improper installation of the roofing system. The lifetime coverage ensures that customers have long-term protection against any defects caused by poor installation practices.
  2. Industry Standards: The Install Warranty guarantees that the roofing system is installed according to established industry standards. This ensures that the installation is performed correctly and that the roofing system will function as intended.
  3. Defects Caused by Installation: The Install Warranty covers any defects caused by the installation crew while applying the roofing products. This includes damage to the products caused by the crew during installation, such as accidental damage or mishandling of materials.
  4. Protection Against Improper Installation: The Install Warranty provides protection against defects caused by improper installation practices, such as inadequate flashing or sealing, incorrect installation of shingles, or improper ventilation. This ensures that the roofing system is installed correctly and that it will perform as intended.

GAF Lifetime Warranty

The warranty period for System Plus Limited Warranty is 50 years, and it includes coverage for the cost of labor and materials for repairs or replacement of any defective roofing materials.
  2. Workmanship Defects: The warranty covers any defects in the installation of the roofing materials that cause leaks or other problems, such as improper sealing or flashing, within the specified warranty period. The warranty period for workmanship defects is 25 years, and it includes coverage for the cost of labor and materials for repairs or replacement of any defective workmanship.
  3. Wind Damage: The warranty covers damage caused by winds up to 130 mph for most shingle types, and up to 150 mph for certain premium shingle types, provided that the shingles were installed according to GAF’s application instructions. The warranty period for wind damage is 15 years, and it includes coverage for the cost of labor and materials for repairs or replacement of any damaged roofing materials.
  4. Algae Resistance: The warranty covers the growth of algae on the shingles, which can cause unsightly black streaks, for a period of 10 years.
